Hanson Tuberculosis Hospital was built to care for people in the Plymouth County with tuberculosis.
Unlike many of the other sanitariums built in Massachusetts, this one was built in a Spanish style exterior.
With a red tile roof and concrete walls. As years went on and tuberculosis was cured the patients
changed and so did the name, to Plymouth County Hospital, then again to Cranberry Specialty
Hospital before it closed its door in 1992.
"UpDate:
On May 30, 2006 a Fire broke out on the left wing of the
building. I was there and got some shots of the place.
The cause most likely is arson."
